The Pokémon Company International’s mobile game Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket (TCG Pocket) launched last October, and the world of digital Pokémon has only continued to grow since. As it celebrates six months of operation, a new expansion pack joins the app with a fresh batch of creatures to catch.
The Celestial Guardians expansion set will launch April 30, bringing new accessories, epic gym battles, and nearly 200 Pokémon cards to the mobile game. Inspired by the Pokémon Sun and Moon video games, Trainers can collect beloved critters from the Alola region, including its first partner Pokémon: Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio. Celestial Guardians will also feature two booster packs spotlighting Legendary Pokémon Solgaleo and Lunala, as well as a themed binder cover and display board to show off Trainers’ collections.
Trainers can celebrate half a year of Pokémon TCG Pocket with some friendly competition. Players can compete in solo battles from April 29 to May 12 to collect exclusive rewards, accessories, and promo cards — even a limited-edition Rayquaza ex! A full-art variant of Rayquaza ex and other in-game goodies are also available to collect by completing special missions until May 28.
The Celestial Guardians expansion pack will launch on April 30, but fans can start catching ‘em all today with Pokémon TCG Pocket on the App Store and Google Play.
