Cloudco Entertainment and Moonbug Entertainment are plotting new adventures for the Care Bears.

Under a newly inked agreement, Moonbug will take the reins in leading content creation, distribution, and management of the Care Bears YouTube channel. Effective immediately, the arrangement kicks off with Care Bears: Unlock the Music, a new 26-episode 2D animated series. Moonbug co-owns the YouTube-first series and will handle global distribution for the new Care Bears content and the back catalog on YouTube.

“We’re excited to partner with the likes of Moonbug and equally proud of the all-new music and music videos featured in Care Bears: Unlock the Music,” says  Sean Gorman, president, Cloudco Entertainment. “The Care Bears is a brand inherently built around diversity, inclusiveness, fun, and pop culture, and I can’t think of a better moment in time for such things — and these bears — to be front and center for a new generation of kids.”

Earlier this year, the relaunched Care Bears toy line from Basic Fun! began hitting retail to a warm response with reports of sold-out shipments.
