Be Super Creative Founder and Creative Director Delanie West has been named Director at Large by the Graphic Artists Guild, an organization uniting graphic designers, interactive designers, illustrators, animators, and photographers. The appointment follows a unanimous vote by the Guild’s national board of directors.
“My growth opportunities and everything that I’ve learned about business development has been through a design lens, I owe that to my early foundation as a graphic artist,” West says.
At Be Super Creative, West focuses on helping people build brands and execute creative ideas through experiential marketing, product, and brand development. Prior to Be Super Creative, West served as vice president of product development, design, and creativity at AW Faber-Castell/Creativity For Kids, and was vice president and general manager of design and development at Wilton Brands.
In 2020, West was appointed to the board of directors at Women in Toys, Licensing & Entertainment (WiT) as its first Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Chair. Additionally, she is president and chief strategy officer at Black Creatives, a global network of more than 15,000 professionals in communications, media, advertising, technology, and fashion.
The Graphic Artists Guild is noted for its Graphic Artists Guild Handbook: Pricing & Ethical Guidelines, a resource for professional creators and buyers of graphic art.
