Circana’s latest market report names Disguise as the No. 1 costume manufacturer in the U.S. for the year-to-date. This is Disguise’s third year in a row holding the top position since rising from second place in 2022.
As the costume division of JAKKS Pacific, Disguise attributes its exponential growth to its robust library of licenses, which has only continued to expand throughout 2025. The company’s Minecraft collection led the pack in sales, driven by the blockbuster release of A Minecraft Movie in April.

“We are extremely proud of the success and growth we have achieved over the past three years to become the top costume manufacturer in the U.S. and anticipate even more proud moments ahead,” said Tara Cortner, President and GM of Disguise. “Minecraft continues to be a cornerstone of our success. Our long-term partnership with Minecraft has allowed us to bring its world to life through costumes that resonate with fans of all ages. The excitement around A Minecraft Movie this year took that connection to an entirely new level.”
Disguise scored the global Minecraft license back in 2017, and its evergreen character designs have remained top sellers in its lineup. Fuelled by the theatrical release, Minecraft jumped to the No. 3 ranking costume license in the U.S. in 2025, and Disguise’s collection quickly became one of the most in-demand. A major standout was its new Chicken Jockey Pop-Up Costume, which sold out of retailers well before Halloween and was reselling for triple the original price online.
With a Minecraft Movie sequel officially slated for 2027, Disguise plans to continue growing its gaming inventory with quality, innovative costume designs that fans of all ages can enjoy.
