Goliath is making moves to bolster growth in the coming years by launching newly formed toy and game divisions.
Former Mattel exec Doug Wadleigh has joined the company as global president of the new toy division. In his new role, Wadleigh will establish a new Goliath toy innovation and marketing studio in Los Angeles. He previously led the Baby Box Co. and held positions at Loot Crate and Warner Bros. Wadleigh spent more than 20 years at Mattel across two stints in which he worked on brands including Hot Wheels, WWE, and Disney Princess. At Goliath, he will work to grow current brands, including Animagic and Vet Squad in addition to the distribution of licensed brands including Ryan’s World, Squeezamals, and Crayola.
Goliath President David Norman, who co-founded the company’s North American office in 2008, will continue in his current role while taking on the additional role of global president of Goliath Gaming.
“I’m excited about the overall growth of our product portfolio,” says Jochanan Golad, CEO, Goliath. “With David and Doug in leadership positions to work with our outstanding team around the globe, we will continue to aggressively market our core brands while aggressively expanding our world-class portfolio.”
Norman will look to build upon the success of Goliath’s global gaming brands while developing new intellectual property (IP) and marketing strategies.
