Call it a “Sweet Justice League” in a toy adjacent realm.

Icons join forces as Bazooka Bubble Gum and DC team up for a series of eight original digital comics that usher in a new era for Bazooka Joe and His Gang.

The Toy Book and The Pop Insider are serving up a first look at The Bazookaverse as the first comic debuts on International Women’s Day featuring Wonder Woman and Jane. The collaboration continues in the coming months with Batman, Superman, Aquaman, The Flash, and Green Lantern joining the party with the classic jokes and fortunes known to Bazooka fans around the world.

“The Bazookaverse celebrates the brand’s deeply rooted legacy in the comic world while delivering an immersive experience for fans everywhere to enjoy,” says Rebecca Silberfarb, Vice President of Marketing at Bazooka Companies. “Coming together to collaborate with DC to kick start this series was such a great fit given both brands’ significant impact on pop culture. Today marks a huge milestone for Bazooka, and the adventure has only just begun!”

Bazooka says that DC characters are just the first pop culture icons to enter The Bazookaverse as additional stories will roll out across the brand’s website and social media accounts. The company plans to ramp up consumer engagement through giveaways including the opportunity to be drawn into a classic Bazooka comic and receive a year’s supply of Bazooka Bubble Gum.
