Tabletop game creator Exploding Kittens promoted Carly McGinnis to the role of president.

McGinnis previously served as head of production, sales, and logistics for the company.

In her new role, McGinnis oversees the day-to-day operations at Exploding Kittens, including the production and logistics of physical games as well as retail distribution and marketing strategy. She joined the company in January 2015 after the original game became the most-backed Kickstarter game in history and raised more than $9 million in 30 days from more than 219,000 backers.

Over the past seven years, Exploding Kittens has launched 13 additional titles beyond the original game. In total, the company has sold more than 18 million games through retail partners, including Amazon, Target, Walmart, and more.

McGinnis previously worked with the Interactive Division at Xbox Entertainment Studios and held roles at Endeavor and Brillstein Entertainment.
