The “Masters of Bounce” have added another company to their growing portfolio.

Flybar acquired National Sporting Goods (NSG), a New Jersey-based fixture in sporting goods, skate, and outdoor products. The acquisition of NSG expands Flybar’s presence in these categories, bringing with it numerous distributed brands, including the Chicago Skate Co., YBIKE, Eezy Peezy, and more.

In a challenging environment for many toy companies, the Flybar team continues to deliver organic growth focusing on innovation and brand building. The team also pursues incremental growth through strategic acquisitions. Adding the NSG portfolio aligns seamlessly with those goals and our mission of growing global brands that deliver smiles and creates lasting memories every day of the year.”
— Saul Wolhendler CEO Flybar

In recent years, Flybar, known as the purveyor of the Original Pogo Stick, has grown its portfolio to include Kid Trax, Antsy Pants, Swurfer, and more. Additionally, its Funpark and Waddle products have increased visibility with kids of many ages.

“At NSG we firmly believe that play is not just an activity, but a pathway for children to acquire essential life skills and cultivate enduring habits that foster a healthy, active lifestyle,” says Gregg Adelsheimer CEO National Sporting Goods. “Our unwavering commitment is evident in our wide array of indoor and outdoor toys and sporting goods, empowering children of all ages to enjoy enriching play experiences that promote physical well-being.”

Flybar will show upcoming products from across its brand portfolio at The Toy Association’s LA Fall Preview next month. Members of The Toy Book team will be on the ground in Los Angeles for the annual meetings between manufacturers, buyers, and distributors. The Toy Book‘s LA Fall Toy Preview issue hits the streets on Sept. 9, 2024!
