There’s a new superhero coming to town!
Hasbro and its entertainment studio eOne have introduced their newest show, Kiya & the Kimoja Heroes. At Licensing Expo in Las Vegas, the two companies unveiled the show’s logo and primary character, Kiya.
This new preschool animated series follows Kiya’s high-action dance and martial arts adventures. She lives in the South-African-inspired Kimoja City with her two best friends, Jay and Motsie. Together, the three of them use their crystal-charged powers to shine bright and make things right until harmony and unity are restored in their community. Hasbro’s initial licensees will focus on toys, apparel, dress-up, role play, and publishing.
Kiya & the Kimoja Heroes is set to launch globally on Disney+ — as well as other platforms — in 2023.
