Mattel Adventure Park is getting ready to open its doors in 2024, with branded rides and experiences for a variety of fans.

The new park is being developed in partnership with Epic Resort Destinations, a company known for its work bringing brands to the world of amusement parks. Mattel Adventure Park will welcome guests in 2024 at VAI Resort in Glendale, Arizona. The 9-acre park will feature indoor and outdoor locations, with rides, entertainment, and more.

Mattel has already revealed two roller coasters inspired by the Hot Wheels brand. The Hot Wheels Bone Shaker is a family coaster with an 84-foot climb, featuring a full-sized version of the brand’s hot rod with a skull design front and center. The Hot Wheels Twin Mill Racer features a double loop and two corkscrews, a first for coasters in Arizona.

Construction is underway and substantial progress has been made on what will give fans of all ages a day of thrills and nostalgia. We’re especially excited for families to experience the Hot Wheels Bone Shaker rollercoaster – a dream come true for any Hot Wheels fan.
Julie Freeland, Senior Director of Global Location Based Entertainment at Mattel

Hot Wheels won’t be the only brand featured in the park. Mattel has plans for a life-sized Barbie Beach House with a rooftop bar and restaurant, a number of attractions centering the Thomas & Friends brand, a laser tag arena with a Masters of the Universe theme, and a mini golf course peppered with Mattel games such as UNO and Pictionary.

Continued updates regarding Mattel Adventure Park are expected as the opening year draws nearer. The park’s official Facebook page has already teased future content revealing the process of the park’s construction. Those attending the Hot Wheels Monster Truck Live Glow Party at Desert Diamond Arena this August will also get a preview of the Hot Wheels Bone Shaker ride.
