Members of the Justice League have a new place to hang up their capes and cowls. McFarlane Toys and Warner Bros. Consumer Products entered into a three-year global licensing agreement for McFarlane to release DC Multiverse action figures. The collector-focused line will arrive at both mass and specialty retail spaces beginning early 2020. The DC Multiverse was previously produced by Mattel.
“This partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products and DC will be great fun for my company, and a chance to deliver products that millions of fans of the DC brand have been asking for,” says Todd McFarlane, owner and CEO of McFarlane Toys. “The DC universe has captivated the world and to be able to play in that ‘sandbox’ now makes me feel like a kid all over again. I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together.”
McFarlane Toys will look to the vast DC library for inspiration for the line, with plans to bring dozens of characters, accessories, and vehicles to life in 6- and 12-inch scale. The collection will include toys based on scenarios from DC Comics, video games, and feature films.
Warner Bros. Consumer Products also partnered with McFarlane Toys for a line based on the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which will debut at Toy Fair New York.
