PlayMonster and comedy legend Jeff Foxworthy are celebrating a big milestone.
Relative Insanity — the family game created by Foxworthy — has officially sold more than one million copies since its launch three years ago. Now, the brand continues to grow with more expansion packs that can expand the fun beyond the original game.
“Wow — one million games! And it was all inspired by the insanity of my own family and friends,” says Foxworthy. “I’d like to thank the crazy family members out there — everyone has at least one — and that’s what Relative Insanity is all about!”
To celebrate the game in style, PlayMonster is bringing Relative Insanity to select comedy clubs across the U.S. Participating clubs are hosting live gameplay between sets, game giveaways, and have limited edition Relative Insanity drink coasters with Foxworthy’s punchlines.
“Since we launched Relative Insanity in 2018, it has quickly become a fan-favorite among our robust portfolio of games at PlayMonster,” says Scott Flynn, vice president of sales and marketing at PlayMonster. “We’re excited to mark the one million milestone and continue the legacy of laughter alongside Jeff Foxworthy.”
In Relative Insanity, a player reads a setup card aloud, like: “When my brother brought out his new baby to show the family, Granny blurted out…” Then everyone else chooses one of their punchline cards to finish the phrase, like: “You are not the father!” or “Somebody took a trip to the land of bad decisions,” etc. The player deemed funniest scores a point awarded by the reader.
The full lineup — available at Walmart and Amazon — includes the original Relative Insanity Game, Relative Insanity: See What I Mean?, and new expansion packs, including Yes, Guuurrrlll!, Family Gatherin’!, Old Farts!, and Young’uns!
