Scooby-Doo returns to the stage in a new live tour set to debut in March 2020.
Warner Bros. Consumer Products and Monlove partnered for Scooby-Doo and the Lost City of Gold, an original live entertainment event. The production will be presented in large scale theaters and will be “the first of its kind to combine cutting edge technology with exceptional music, puppetry, magic, singing, dance, interactive audience response video, aerial arts and video mapping.” Following its premiere, the show will hit the road for a global, five-year tour visiting more than 30 countries.
The original concept, book, music, and lyrics will be created by Ella Louise Allaire and Martin Lord Ferguson Ice Age Live! A Mammoth Adventure), with direction by Pierre Boileau (Queen Elizabeth’s Jubilee, The Nut Job Live & Friends, Cirque Eloize), and technical design innovations and sets from Guy-St-Amour (Cirque du Soleil’s Mystère, Viva Elvis, Michael Jackson).
Scooby-Doo and the Lost City of Gold will arrive ahead of next year’s animated film, SCOOB!, which is slated to premiere in theaters on May 15, 2020.
