Super Impulse has brought its Poptaters brand to Comic-Con International: San Diego (SDCC). The Poptaters launched this past January, and feature a collaboration with Hasbro Potato Heads and various iconic characters across pop culture.
The first and second wave of Poptater figures included everything from The Joy of Painting host Bob Ross to Sonic the Hedgehog. Now, the brand is taking full advantage of SDCC to launch a new wave and preview upcoming releases.

New Poptaters for this fall include the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Star Trek’s Spock, Sesame Street’s Bert and Ernie, digital popstar Hatsune Miku, and Silent Bob from Clerks. As with previous Poptaters figures, each comes with interchangeable parts allowing collectors to mix and match.
The con has also provided the opportunity for a preview of characters to come. Sneak peeks at SDCC indicate plans for tie-ins with Squid Game, Stranger Things, and Wednesday.
Poptaters continues to release waves of figures mashing a nostalgic toy with pop culture classics. Super Impulse has this and more at its SDCC booth (No. 1021). With new launches and even more on the way, the company is fully embracing SDCC as a chance to entice collectors.
