The Toy Foundation awarded Squishmallows by Jazwares both the Toy of the Year and People’s Choice awards at the 23rd Toy of the Year (TOTY) Awards and Celebration.
The awards add to a big year for Squishmallows, including new licensed products like Squishmallows Monopoly, Squishmallows puzzles, and Pokémon Squishmallows. With dozens of collectible characters and soft comfort, Squishmallows is a widely beloved brand. A panel of expert judges gave Squishmallows the Toy of the Year award while toy fans voted for the People’s Choice award.
“Congratulations Jazwares on receiving the prestigious Toy of the Year and People’s Choice awards,” says Pamela Mastrota, executive director of The Toy Foundation. “On top of the joy a toy can offer, Squishmallows is a powerful example of the emotional benefits children and adults can gain through play. Squishmallows were chosen for Toy of the Year out of more than 500 submissions. The brand also took home Plush Toy of the Year and License of the Year.
