Surge Brands “breaks wind” in the toy industry as the exclusive global licensing agent for Scentco, Inc.’s Fart Monsters brand.

Fart Monsters features a line of scented plush toys with built-in, self-inflating whoopee cushions. Blending humor, collectability, and sensory play, the fast-growing novelty brand currently features six distinct characters that have a strong appeal with kid and tween audiences. Fart Monsters continues to grow in the U.S. toy industry, generating more than $40 billion in annual sales.

To drive the brand’s global expansion, Surge Brands will develop a comprehensive licensing program across key categories. Consumers and retailers can expect Fart Monsters to appear on apparel, accessories, collectibles, home goods, and novelty items. Surge Brands’ licensing program will start rolling out at retail spaces in 2027.

“Fart Monsters is exactly the kind of breakout property we look for — bold, highly differentiated, and built around a clear, humor-driven identity that resonates with today’s consumers,” says Ari Freedman, Founder and President of Licensing, Surge Brands. “We see tremendous potential to extend the brand into new product categories and global markets.”

“Fart Monsters was created to deliver pure, laugh-out-loud fun, and we’ve already seen incredible consumer response to the product line,” says Chris Coté, President, Scentco, Inc. “Partnering with Surge Brands allows us to take that energy and expand it into new formats, categories, and markets worldwide. We’re excited to bring the Fart Monsters universe to life in ways fans haven’t experienced yet.”
