Board games and puzzle manufacturer USAOPOLY, also known as The Op, has partnered with Rubik’s Brand Ltd. to create licensed versions of the popular 3×3 Rubik’s Cube, just in time for the classic puzzle’s 40th anniversary.

The Op will bring a number of different pop culture licenses to replace the colored stickers on each of the Rubik’s Cube’s six sides. Users will solve the puzzle itself in its traditional manner, but now with the goal of piecing a favorite character or visual back together.

“We’re looking forward to fitting the famous Cube — one of the best-selling toys of all time — in its natural place amongst fan-favorite pop culture properties,” says Maggie Matthew, vice president of licensing for The Op.

Variations will be released throughout the year beginning with North American specialty stores in late summer. The Cubes will retail at $14.99.
