The Toy Foundation (TTF) has awarded Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital a $25,000 grant as part of its Children’s Hospital Play Grants Program.

The hospital is a Hollywood, Florida level one trauma center offering a variety of healthcare services. The grant will support the hospital’s “Shaping the Lives of Little Ones” initiative, a program aiming to mitigate the adverse effects of prolonged hospitalization on infants.

Play has a profound impact on a child’s healing journey, benefiting their physical, emotional, and educational well-being. We are pleased to support Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital to help their patients heal and thrive.
Pamela Mastrota, Executive Director at The Toy Foundation

The hospital will incorporate new efforts into this initiative thanks to the grant. Catilin Stella, CEO of Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, says it will allow for the introduction of “the healing power of play through specialized equipment that supports sensory integration, vision, head control, gross and fine motor skills, and social interaction.”
