A new board game from Underdog Games aims to give families the chance to explore the world from their homes — and earned 804% of its goal on Kickstarter.
The Trekking the World board game brings global exploration without having to stuff a suitcase and fight over who gets the window seat. Families race to become the most well-seasoned traveler while also collecting souvenirs and learning about famous destinations.
The Kickstarter campaign for the game had more than 6,500 backers who pledged more than $255,000 to see the game created. Those who missed the campaign can still preorder it but will miss out on the exclusive All Who Wander cards.
Families with kids ages 10 and up can dive into the game with rich strategies that can be handled by gamers of all experience levels. The developers behind the game took notes on the feedback from their previous release, Trekking the National Parks, and amplified the gameplay to bring it to new levels.
