Today, online retailer Zulily revealed its second annual Toy Index, which includes a “Top 25 Toys for Holiday” list, a “Top Trending Items to Buy in Advance” list that features holiday decor items, and a list of “America’s Most Playful Cities.”
Some of the top toys that Zulily features in its list this year include the Barbie Three-In-One Dreamcamper Set, the PicassoTiles 101-Piece 3D magnetic Building Tile set, and the LEGO Marvel Studios The Guardians’ Ship building set. Other brands featured on the list include Playmobil, Melissa & Doug, and Fisher-Price.
Zulily also launched a Santa’s Workshop shopping page on its site, which features all 25 toys from the list. The page will be live from now until Dec. 15, featuring discounts up to 70% throughout the season.
The retailer released its list a full month earlier than last year, encouraging consumers to shop early for their holiday gifts and decorations amid the ongoing global shipping crisis.
“We know the holidays can be stressful for moms and that’s going to be heightened this year if they can’t find exactly what they’re looking for — for their families or friends,” says Sheila Nugent, director of toy merchandising at Zulily. “That’s why we’re giving them the ultimate holiday preview before anyone else, so they can plan ahead and ensure no sad faces when it comes time to unwrap gifts.”
As for America’s Most Playful Cities, Zulily curated this list by analyzing Zulily sales data and Google trend searches of toys and games. The top cities on the list include San Antonio; Louisville, Ky.; Colorado Springs, Colo.; Las Vegas, and Fort Worth, Texas.
