In what’s shaping up to be another challenging and competitive fall, Target crashed the gates to usher in top toy list season with the unveiling of its annual Bullseye’s Top Toys list for 2021.

Last year, the Minneapolis-based retailer was late to the party (Oct. 8) but this year it’s kicking off the season early with the news that its collaboration with FAO Schwarz will continue as the retailer also expands its partnership with The Walt Disney Co. to place Disney Store at Target locations in more than 160 stores.

“Target continues to be a top toy destination for all families, and we’re pleased to offer unique experiences and a curated toy assortment that brings joy to parents and children of all ages,” says Nik Nayar, senior vice president of hardlines, Target. “We’re seeing more guests shop for toys at Target than ever before, and whether it’s Bullseye’s Top Toys or finding joy with one of the more than 1,300 exclusive toys and games, guests are choosing Target for our inspiring, easy, and affordable gift-giving experience.”

Bullseye’s Top Toy List features 50 toys across six “inspiring” categories and is packed with 22 exclusives that consumers will only find at Target. Check out the full list below and be sure to stay tuned for the toy industry’s No. 1 ULTIMATE top toy list, the Toy Insider‘s 2021 Holiday Gift Guide, coming Sept. 22. Look for it in print with the November issue of PARENTS magazine.

Target notes that of its 70-piece FAO Schwarz assortment, 85% are new items this year.

The retailer recently revealed its second quarter earnings, and despite challenges from the global shipping crisis and COVID-19, still saw a 20% boom in toy sales.
