eOne Debuts New Toy Lines for its Properties at Abrin Toy Fair

PJ Masks 2Entertainment One (eOne) outlined plans to strengthen its brands in Latin America with a new appointment to manage its portfolio for TV properties including, Peppa Pig, Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom, and PJ Masks.

Bruna Sawada joins the company in the newly created role of regional territory manager – Brazil and will report directly to London-based Murilo Hinojosa. Hinojosa leads consumer products for the entire Latin American region.  

Based in eOne’s new São Paulo office, Sawada will execute a localized strategy to expand the brands’ portfolio throughout Brazil. Additional team members based in the firm’s London office will strengthen the infrastructure with retail marketing and product development resources.

Reporting to Ami Dieckman, head of international licensing for eOne Family, Hinojosa will continue to build a team across all commercial functions with a strategic focus on building the licensing programs of its key properties in Brazil. Working in close collaboration with eOne’s global franchise management team based in London, he will also oversee the firm’s relationships with local licensing agents, retailers, and broadcasters within Latin America.

Peppa Pig airs daily on Discovery Kids. The recent mass-market success for Peppa Pig in the U.S. has generated a fresh wave of interest across Latin America regions and there are a number of new licensing deals for this year, including a new touring live stage show that will launch in October.

eOne’s preschool series PJ Masks airs twice daily on Disney Junior in Brazil and will have a merchandise launch this summer. DTC will distribute Just Play’s master toy line and will showcase the toy range at Abrin Toy Fair, where Rubies Costume Co. will also unveil ancillary lines for the property. Additional licensees include Topps for sticker albums, Regina Festas for partyware, Dermiwil for back-to-school, and Lupo for socks and underwear.

Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom will also launch at retail in Brazil this year. The animated series airs daily on TV Cultura and Nick Jr. MultiKids was appointed by eOne as the master toy distributor in Brazil, and additional partners include Panini for publishing, Piffer and Regina Festas for partyware, and Dermiwil for back to school.
