The company behind the Power Rangers: Heroes of the Grid board game is set to bring more Hasbro franchise brands to the tabletop.
Renegade Game Studios expanded its deal with Hasbro Inc. to develop new products and categories for hobby gaming with titles inspired by G.I. Joe, Transformers, and My Little Pony. The company plans to release both role-playing and deck-building games releated to these brands beginning next year.
“We’re thrilled to expand our relationship with Renegade Game Studios to include more fan-favorite brands from our portfolio,” says Casey Collins, senior vice president and general manager, global consumer products at Hasbro. “The tabletop and roleplaying games Renegade Game Studios innovated for the Power Rangers franchise have proved to authentically connect with both gamers and the Ranger Nation and we are confident that G.I. Joe, Transformers and My Little Pony fans will love the exciting games coming soon.”
Renegade plans to launch dedicated websites for its new Hasbro games this fall in an effort to build communities ahead of next year’s launch.
New Power Rangers products are set to be demoed at Renegade Con, Oct. 9-11, and at Renegade’s Morphin Meet Virtual Event on Oct. 23. A Kickstarter campaign for the next expansion will debut on Oct. 13.
