BMW Group and The LEGO Group expand their collaboration with a new LEGO Speed Champions BMW M3 E30 timed to the 40th anniversary of the BMW M3 E30. The 358-piece set recreates the classic sports car with signature design details, including the kidney grille, rear spoiler, and four round headlights, while introducing a co-created heritage-inspired livery developed by BMW and LEGO design teams.
The release marks the first time the companies have jointly designed a custom livery for both a LEGO replica and a full-scale vehicle. A matching BMW M3 E30 show car featuring the same graphics accompanies the launch as part of anniversary celebrations.
The set measures 17 centimeters long and includes functional wheels and a driver minifigure wearing a BMW T-shirt. A full-size version of the shirt will also roll into BMW dealers and the BMW lifestyle shop beginning Aug. 1
The LEGO Speed Champions BMW M3 E30 is available for preorder and launches Aug. 1 through LEGO stores, BMW dealers, and online retail channels. A public showcase in Berlin is planned to celebrate the launch and anniversary milestone.
