The Glo Companies has acquired Meavia Toys, marking its first business acquisition and expanding its portfolio of inclusive products. The move strengthens The Glo Companies’ position in sensory play space while continuing Meavia Toys’ mission “to aid in the development of Autistic children and kids with other learning and developmental challenges.”
“This is more than a business decision,” shares Hagan Walker, CEO and Co-founder of The Glo Companies. “Meavia was built from a place of love and real need. When we learned the company might not be able to continue, we felt a responsibility to support that mission and help it grow.”
Founded to create toys and learning tools that inspire and engage all kids, including autistic and sensory-challenged kids, Meavia Toys will continue to operate under its core identity following the acquisition. Founder Luis Prior will remain involved with the brand to support product development and its long-term vision.
“Meavia has always been about my son and families like ours,” says Prior. “Seeing it continue, and knowing it can now reach more children and families who benefit from sensory-focused play, including many in the autism community, means everything.”
The Glo Companies is best known for its Glo Pals and Glo Cubes brands. Founded in 2015, the Mississippi-based company has sold more than 10 million products in more than 60 countries.
The companies are expected to highlight the new partnership during Astra Marketplace & Academy, taking place June 5-8, where both brands will be present.
