Arcade1Up is expanding its collection with two new products as well as a new category in the Legacy line, Deluxe Edition, which features classic titles in a more authentic format.
Arcade1Up is focused on providing the retro arcade experience at home. Though arcades may not be the same institution they once were, nostalgia for arcade games keeps people interested in new ways to experience them.
“Our goal with these new releases is to continue to find ways to streamline and innovate while also adding modern touches like Wi-Fi connectivity and online gameplay,” says Scott Bachrach, CEO of Arcade1Up. “We want to make classic retro games accessible and affordable to everyone while staying as true as possible to the authentic arcade gaming experience we all know and remember.”
Arcade1Up is releasing a more portable version of its Infinity Game Table with the Infinity Game Board. The game board has a full library of games such as Risk, Pandemic, Ticket to Ride, and more. The smaller format of the board allows for more space in the home while still carrying an impressive variety of games.
The Wheel of Fortune Casinocade Deluxe is an arcade machine designed to give players the experience of a Las Vegas casino within their homes. The machine features Wi-Fi leaderboards, a way to incorporate the leaderboards found in arcades while still allowing for an at-home experience. The new machine is expected to be available by this summer.
The world of arcade-at-home experiences seems to be doing well, as Arcade1Up introduces a new style within its Legacy Classics line with the Deluxe Edition. The Deluxe Edition machines mimic the look of traditional arcade game machines, and classic titles such as PAC-MAN, Ms. PAC-MAN, Class of 81, and Mortal Kombat will be available this spring in the Deluxe Edition format. Though these machines are designed to provide a retro experience, they will still feature Wi-Fi leaderboards, letting people compete for the best score online.
Tastemakers LLC, the owner of the Aracde1Up brand, is continuing its centering on the at-home arcade game experience in 2023, with this planned expansion of product offerings. Nostalgia for arcade games and a desire for the experience from a more comfortable location both help this trend grow.
