Brand Licensing Europe 2023 can boast a successful show with an increase in attendance numbers across numerous categories.

Brand Licensing Europe is an annual event dedicated to licensing that welcomes a large variety of brands, licensees, manufacturers, retailers, distributors, and licensing agents. The show aims to provide opportunities to network and create new collaborations as it gathers the industry together. This year’s show took place in London just last week, from Oct. 4-6.

9,649 licensing professionals were at the show, an increase of 19% compared to 2022. Retailers in attendance also sharply rose — 1,166 from 57 countries made their way to the event, 31% more than in 2022 and a record for Brand Licensing Europe.

This year’s retail presence has been incredible, with really strong attendance from fashion and toy retailers. We’ve also seen an increase in gift and novelty retailers as well as value retailers like Poundland, Matalan, Pepco, and Primark.

The number of visiting licensing professionals, exhibiting companies, and pre-arranged meetings also all increased when compared to last year. Buyers who attended the event included Amazon, Uniqlo, Card Factory, Claire’s Accessories, and many more.

Coming off the successful event, Brand Licensing Europe is already looking to next year and planning the 2024 show. The theme for next year will be Brands in Play, a theme it will share with Licensing Expo in Las Vegas. The dates for next year’s Brand Licensing Europe are set for Sept. 24-26 in London.
