ChizComm Ltd. officially planted a flag on the West Coast with the addition of Cristy Collins, who joins the company as vice president, brand marketing.
The Toronto-based marketing agency — which celebrates its seventh anniversary this week — has grown its North American presence in recent years, notably acquiring a New Jersey office with the addition of its media division Beacon Media Group last year.
In her new role, Collins will manage and grow ChizComm’s Los Angeles team over the next year as the company continues to offer expanded resources to meet the ever-changing and evolving needs of its clients from coast to coast.
“Having the right people in the right roles is everything,” says Kathleen Campisano, global chief marketing officer and general manager, ChizComm Beacon Media. “That is why we are thrilled to have Cristy joining us. Her experience, knowledge, and marketing savvy will add immediate value to the organization and further cements our commitment to hiring top talent in service to our clients.”
Collins joins ChizComm from the Beverly Hills Teddy Bear Co., where she served as vice president of marketing and development. Over the course of her more than 20-year career, she has held leadership positions at Spin Master and Funrise, and has served as a brand builder and consultant to numerous toy and game companies.
“I’m excited to join such a dynamic, forward-thinking, talented team,” says Collins. “I look forward to continuing the growth and evolution of ChizComm with the development of a dedicated team in L.A.”
Over the past seven years, ChizComm’s public relations, influencer marketing, social media, digital media, and creative services teams have served more than 100 clients, representing more than 200 brands. The company has been involved with 30 Toy of the Year (TOTY) nominations and six wins.
