On March 2, Dr. Seuss Enterprises will celebrate Theodor Seuss Geisel‘s 115th birthday. This year’s celebration of the legacy of Dr. Seuss featuresnew and expanded partnerships for kids of all ages. Random House, Target, Hanna Andersson, Party City, Funko, and Carnival Cruise Line are among the companies that are keeping Seuss’ creations fresh and exciting with new products and experiences.
“As ambassadors and facilitators of fun, we’re proud to work alongside best-in-class licensed partners across a myriad of industries to commemorate Dr. Seuss’s birthday and give people of all ages an opportunity to share in Geisel’s passion for imagination and entertainment,” says Susan Brandt, president of Dr. Seuss Enterprises. “Each partner builds on Geisel’s inventive spirit while enabling us to tap into new targeted audiences – including young children, tweens, families and teachers, as well as adult fans.”
Funko will honor Geisel with a Pop! Icons figure. Available from a variety of retailers, the 3 3/4-inch vinyl figure features Dr. Seuss looking crisp in a grey suit, while clutching a copy of his 1957 classic, The Cat in the Hat.
In partnership with Random House, Target will invite guests to participate in a complimentary read-along in every store on March 2. The retailer will also feature a new collection of baby and toddler apparel, inspired by The Cat in the Hat and Oh, the Places You’ll Go! Styles include onesies, T-shirts, hoodies, and dresses.
