Dr. Seuss Enterprises is partnering with design company P&P Projects to develop new theme park concepts inspired by Dr. Seuss properties across Europe and Asia-Pacific (APAC), excluding China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau. The collaboration was brokered by WildBrain CPLG, which represents Dr. Seuss Enterprises’ licensing and location-based entertainment rights in the regions.
“Dr. Seuss’ stories have inspired generations of readers around the world through their imagination, optimism, and sense of adventure,” explains Susan Brandt, President and CEO of Dr. Seuss Enterprises. “As we continue to expand the ways audiences can engage with our beloved characters and stories, location-based entertainment presents an exciting opportunity. We’re looking forward to collaborating with P&P Projects to explore new concepts and connect with operators who share our vision for creating memorable family destinations.”
Under the agreement, P&P Projects will design and develop concepts based on properties including The Cat in the Hat, Oh, the Places You’ll Go!, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas!. The concepts are intended to explore new destination-based entertainment opportunities for operators, developers, and investors.
“Dr. Seuss is one of the most celebrated storytelling brands in the world and offers an incredibly rich creative foundation for immersive experiences,” says Ifat Caspi, Chief Commercial Officer, P&P Projects. “…We’re looking forward to creating visionary concepts that really showcase how we can translate the magic of Dr. Seuss into scalable entertainment destinations.”
The collaboration comes as several Dr. Seuss properties reach upcoming milestones. The new The Cat in the Hat animated movie is arriving this year, while The Cat in the Hat and How the Grinch Stole Christmas! will celebrate their 70th anniversaries in 2027. Oh, the Places You’ll Go! is also set to make its big-screen debut in 2028.
“Through this partnership, we’re creating a pathway for operators and developers in Europe and APAC to explore new destination experiences ahead of exciting content moments and anniversary milestones,” shares Evi Sari, Vice President, Global Location Based Experience, WildBrain CPLG.
