Get a glimpse inside Target’s business practices at The Toy Association’s Annual Business Conference, where company executives will share unique perspectives and critical insights on the most important issues facing toy companies today.  The conference will bring toy and youth entertainment industry executives together from June 18 to 19 in Minneapolis, MN.

  • Opening remarks from Mark Tritton, Target’s executive vice president and chief merchandising officer, directly followed by a session on the future of retail presented by Christina Hennington, Target’s senior vice president and general merchandise manager of essentials, beauty, hardlines, and services.
  • The role of licensing, in a session led by Morgan Kennedy, Target’s director of marketing.
  • How partnering with Roundel (Target’s reimagined media company) will help brands meet their needs, drive measurable business results, and maximize media investments during a session led by John Storms, director of sales at Roundel.
  • Responsible sourcing and Target’s focus on product quality, worker well-being, and removing hazardous chemicals in a session led by Amanda Nusz, vice president of Target’s product quality and responsible sourcing.
  • The role of play and leisure and its impact on guest experiences led by Melissa Millo, vice president of toys at Target.

Attendees will also hear updates on tariffs and other regulations impacting toy companies; intellectual property rights and protecting brands from counterfeit products; strategies for bringing products to market; capitalization, business valuation, and venture capital strategies; and finance and credit tactics among a packed schedule of roundtables, workshops, and interactive discussions. Additional seminars held throughout the conference will be presented by The NPD Group, seasoned toy industry executives, credit and finance experts, and others.
