25 years ago, Hagrid spoke to The Boy Who Lived and said, “Yer’ a wizard, Harry.” And with this simple statement, a life-changing journey began for both Harry Potter and his enormous fanbase.

J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter book franchise jumped from page to screen when Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (aka the Philosopher’s Stone in most markets) debuted in theaters in November 2001. And while spells were cast throughout the eight films, their magic was nothing compared to the impact they made in the real world.

Beyond books and screens, Harry Potter moved from the cupboard under the stairs to key product categories. This includes apparel, accessories, collectibles, toys, home goods, video games, a spin-off movie series, a Broadway production, worldwide retail shops, theme park attractions, and other experiences more sought after than a Golden Snitch.

With this year marking the film’s 25th anniversary, it’s no surprise that Gryffindors, Slytherins, Ravenclaws, and Hufflepuffs are in for merchandise that’ll have them casting “Accio!”

Wands and Merch at the Ready

Beyond the walls of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, retailers and fans can look forward to spellbinding items through Hasbro’s multi-year licensing partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products.

“Harry Potter is a franchise that has connected with fans around the world for decades, creating a level of engagement and fandom that few brands can match,” says Billy Lagor, President of Toys and Board Games, Hasbro. “This partnership is a tremendous opportunity to bring new play experiences to wizarding world fans and celebrate a universe that continues to inspire across generations.”

Starting next year, wizards and Muggles can expect a toy line inspired by the franchise and HBO Originals’ Harry Potter series, premiering Christmas Day. The collection will include dolls, roleplay products, action figures, collectibles, interactive plush, games, and more. While Hasbro will be the global primary toy licensee for Harry Potter in 2027, there are still hints of magic emerging throughout the broader toy industry.

The Mirror of Erised isn’t the only place where fans can find their hearts’ desires. The Noble Collection joins the celebration with its Harry Potter 25th Anniversary Wands and Sorcerer’s Stone Set. President Julian Montoya shares that this piece “reflects the artistry of the films and the significance of Harry’s journey, while extending our tradition of craftsmanship and authenticity.” The set features two specially crafted, silver-finished replicas of Harry’s wands from the films, and a screen-accurate prop replica of the Sorcerer’s Stone that Harry and his friends fight to protect.
