Spin Master is expanding the universe of its upcoming horror trading card game, Hellbreak, with the addition of AMC Global Media, Blumhouse, and Lionsgate as studio partners.
“Hellbreak represents an exciting step forward in expanding our games portfolio by bringing premium entertainment studio IP from across the genre into the rapidly growing trading card category,” says Doug Wadleigh, Spin Master’s President of Toys. “Taking a multi-studio approach, leading with Universal Pictures, and expanding to include AMC, Blumhouse, and Lionsgate, we’re building an enduring game that will enthrall horror and tabletop game enthusiasts alike.”
The new collaborators join previously announced partner Universal Products & Experiences, bringing together a collection of horror franchises and characters from across film and television for the game’s first release, slated for Fall 2026.
Developed in partnership with Ghost Galaxy, Hellbreak is a head-to-head trading card game in which players build decks around a signature monster before battling opponents through strategic resource management, minions, and attacks. Victory goes to the first player to defeat the opposing monster.

The first card set will feature more than 100% original artwork created by more than 43 artists. Previously revealed characters include Universal Pictures’ Dracula, the Bride of Frankenstein, and the shark from Jaws, with additional horror icons set to be announced ahead of launch.
“Blumhouse has spent more than two decades building horror that gets under your skin and refuses to leave,” says Jason Blum, Founder and CEO of Blumhouse. “Hellbreak captures that feeling and hands it directly to players. Bringing our worlds to the tabletop, one card at a time, is exactly the kind of fan-obsessed play we love.”
The expansion marks another step in Spin Master’s growing games portfolio as the company brings entertainment IP into the trading card category. Hellbreak is scheduled to launch this fall.
