According to Bob Wilke, president, HobbyTown, RadioShack and HobbyTown USA signed a deal that will bring RadioShack “express stores” to 50 HobbyTown partner stores. The deal could expand to 100 stores and—if successful—to all 140 HobbyTown locations nationwide

Through the deal, HobbyTown will purchase RadioShack merchandise and offer it to its customers who need the tools, wires, and other accessories that RadioShack makes. The express stores will add products, as well as other services like cellphone repairs, which they previously could not offer.

RadioShack emerged from Chapter 11 reorganization in January with 400 stores in mostly rural locations. The HobbyTown deal will help bring the brand to more suburban towns.
