Hugimals World and The Joyful Heart Foundation have teamed up to release a new comforting pillow in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

Hugimals World is known for its weighted stress-relieving stuffed animals, offering products to aid relaxation for kids and kidults alike. In partnership with the nonprofit The Joyful Heart Foundation, Hugimals World is now offering the limited edition The Heart to Hug Pillow.

The 5-pound, 12-inch-wide weighted pillow comes in two color varieties: Fearless Red and Peaceful Pink. It is designed with Deep Touch Pressure in mind, a technique used by mental health professionals that helps soothe and decrease stress levels.

At Joyful Heart, we transform the way our society responds to those of us who have experienced harm. One response — which we're fortunately in charge of and can practice ourselves — is self-care. I use my Heart to Hug Pillow — and have shared them with family and friends — for that very reason: They're a way of responding to our own needs, on our own terms.
The Joyful Heart Foundation Founder Mariska Hargitay

The Joyful Heart Foundation is a nonprofit organization focused on helping survivors of sexual abuse and violence heal. Founded by Law & Order: Special Victims Unit actress Mariska Hargitay, the organization has seen the launch of several initiatives, including public service announcements, educational campaigns, and support funds.

“I’ve been so moved by the work The Joyful Heart Foundation team has done to bring strength and hope to survivors, and am proud to partner with them on a product as emotionally and physically comforting as The Heart to Hug Pillow,” says Hugimals World Founder Marina Khidekel.

The Hug to Heart Pillow is available on the Hugimals World website and The Joyful Heart Foundation’s online store for $44. A portion of the proceeds from each sale goes to The Joyful Heart Foundation.
