The classic Magic 8 Ball just got a new look.
As the latest offering from Mattel Creations, Figure8 collectibles feature a Magic 8 Ball with a body beneath the ball for the first time — giving an empty canvas for artists to make it their own.
The release includes two Magic 8 Ball styles: one blank, and one from the Mattel design team that is inspired by the original pocket fortune-teller, complete with the vintage “Syco Seer” logo.
Mattel Creations also teamed up with 88rising in celebration of Lunar New year with a limited-edition collaboration for three colorways of the Figure8 collectibles — red, silver, and gold — that give homage to the original Magic 8 Ball with nods to the Year of the Ox. The collaboration also includes an apparel line from 88rising.
More Figure8 variations will come down the pike. In the meantime, this first wave of collectibles will be available exclusively at mattelcreations.com at 12 p.m. ET/9 a.m. PT.
