Mattel has promoted Michael Hick to senior vice president, U.S. Commercial, tapping the longtime company executive to lead its commercial organization in the company’s largest market.

Hick joins the role after 18 years with Mattel EMEA and the U.K., where he helped drive revenue growth, expand market share, and strengthen customer relationships across multiple retail channels. In his new position, he will oversee Mattel’s U.S. Commercial organization and support the continued evolution of the company’s growth strategy.

According to Mattel, Hick brings deep commercial expertise, international leadership experience, and a track record of building high-performing teams. The company said his appointment reflects its focus on accelerating growth and strengthening operations in the U.S. market. “Michael Hick has driven sustained revenue growth, expanded market share, and strengthened partnerships with customers across a variety of channels,” says Sanjay Luthra, Mattel CCO.

Hick’s move also marks a transition to Mattel headquarters as the company continues refining its commercial organization and long-term business strategy.
