This year, SEGA is celebrating the fastest blue hedgehog around.

The company is teaming up with creative production brand iam8bit to host an art exhibit, 35 Years of Speed: The Sonic Art Exhibit, that begins this September at PAX West (Sept. 4-6) in Seattle. It speeds to Los Angeles later in the month (Sept. 26-27).

The exhibit features original artwork curated from SEGA’s archives, as well as more than 30 pieces by renowned artists, each honoring and reimagining special moments in the franchise’s 35-year history.

To include the fans in the celebrations, SEGA and iam8bit are hosting a Sonic the Hedgehog fan art showcase. From now through Aug. 3, fans worldwide can check out the official submission rules and submit their artwork for consideration to sonic35.iam8bit.com.

Exceptional submissions will be featured on SEGA’s social media channels and website, and a small selection will be featured in the 35 Years of Speed: The Sonic Art Exhibit.
