Mattel and Barbie are honoring the beloved, multigenerational pop star Miley Cyrus with the launch of a Barbie doll inspired by her, as part of the collectible Barbie Signature series.
This poseable Barbie doll pays tribute to Cyrus’ iconic decades-long career in music, acting, and advocacy. Inspired by Cyrus’ look in the “Golden Burning Sun” music video from Something Beautiful: The Film, this Barbie wears a faux-lather two-piece pant set, pointed-toe black pumps, a hooded jacket, sunglasses, and a microphone.

Cyrus joins the Barbie Signature series alongside other legendary musicians and artists, including Kylie Minogue, Aaliyah, Stevie Nicks, and more.
“Seeing my Barbie for the first time is a dream come true,” says Cyrus. “We spent so much time really digging into the details. That’s something that wasn’t just important to me in designing the Barbie, but it’s also very important to my own creativity and the way that I represent myself. We did not miss any marks in the design of my doll, from the look, hair, accessories, makeup, and structure. Every detail was purposeful, and we spent a lot of time perfecting her — not to be perfect, because that wouldn’t be representative of me, but to really get down to the details of this golden ‘Burning Sun’ look.”
Mattel’s addition of Cyrus to its Signature Barbie collection demonstrates the company’s understanding of her cultural impact, especially given this year’s 20th anniversary of Hannah Montana, and Cyrus’ recent induction into the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
