MGA Entertainment — the toy and entertainment company behind L.O.L. Surprise!, Rainbow High, Bratz, and other brands — appoints Mehran Ravanpay as executive vice president of global manufacturing and supply chain. Ravanpay will be responsible for leading the company in diversifying manufacturing and vendor relations, aiding in progressing sustainability efforts, and implementing strategies to increase efficiencies.
Ravanpay has held several leadership roles in global manufacturing, most recently as senior vice president and chief supply chain officer for RAB Lighting. Ravanpay has also served as vice president of global supply chain logistics for Schneider Electric and head of consumer hardware supply chain at Google. Additionally, Ravanpay has spent 14 years working at Dell Technologies.
“Mehran will bring a unique point of view to MGA with his more than 30 years of global experience in the industrial, multi-channel, and technology sectors, allowing us to further improve our manufacturing and supply chain operations,” Isaac Larian, MGA Entertainment founder and CEO said in a press release. “As we continue our rapid growth, I am confident he will accelerate our focus on strengthening the people, facilities, and operations processes to ensure we are ready for new brands and new business in the future.”
In light of recent global supply chain issues, this appointment of supply chain expert Ravanpay comes at a crucial moment. The appointment will likely expand MGA’s relationships with manufacturers and vendors.
