Millimages has signed a worldwide publishing agreement with Penguin Random House to develop a new line of activity books based on its Molang property.

The deal grants Penguin Random House global publishing rights, excluding Japan and Korea, and will roll out over a three-year period. The program is aimed at fans ages 12 and up, reflecting the brand’s growing appeal among teen and young adult audiences.

“We are delighted to partner with Penguin Random House to further expand our publishing program globally,” shares Alexandra Algard-Mikanowski, Commercial Director, Millimages. “This collaboration reinforces Molang’s positioning in the market, with a dedicated range of activity and coloring books, a growing trending segment in young adults.”

The first titles are set to launch this summer with a series of cozy coloring books. Initial releases include Molang Cafe Cuties (July 2), Molang Friends Cuties (Oct. 1), and Molang Dress-up Cuties (Feb. 7, 2027). The publishing initiative expands Molang’s presence beyond its established categories, which include plush, collectibles, and apparel, and builds on existing publishing success in France.

“A growing number of major licensing partners are helping us turn Molang into a top global franchise for all ages,” adds Jean-Philippe Randisi, Director, Brand-Ward, and U.K. licensing agent for Molang. “Penguin Random House’s Molang books will bring calm and wellness to fans around the world.”

Penguin Random House supports the global rollout, extending the brand’s reach through activity-driven formats designed to engage fans through creativity and relaxation. “We’re absolutely delighted to be partnering with Millimages to grow Molang’s publishing program,” says Rianna Mezzullo, Editorial Director, Penguin Random House. “We are excited to bring Molang’s unmistakable charm to fans and retailers around the world.”
