Fred Rogers Productions grows its executive team by appointing Benjamin Lehmann as its first-ever Vice President of Production.

Lehmann is a well-respected producer and media executive specializing in family entertainment and educational media. Before Fred Rogers Productions, he was the head of production for Sesame Workshop. There, Lehmann led the production and creative teams and was a longtime producer for Sesame Street Seasons 49-53. Lehman also received numerous industry awards, including multiple Emmys, a Peabody Award, GLAAD Media Award, Imagen Award, and the Japan Prize.

Fred Rogers Productions welcomes Lehmann to its executive team as its first-ever Vice President of Production. In this role, the award-winning producer provides management and operational oversight over television, digital, audio, and interactive productions. Lehmann also supervises senior production teams, supporting their creative execution and ensuring that productions align with the company’s mission.

“I’ve long admired the work of Fred Rogers and all the company’s standout series that are helping further his legacy of supporting kids and families,” says Lehmann. “When the opportunity arose to join Fred Rogers Productions and work with [President and CEO] Ellen Doherty, Paul Siefken, and the whole team, I jumped at the chance. This is a very exciting time for Fred Rogers Productions, with the recent launch of the first Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood YouTube channel and the continued production of our hit series. There’s something extra special about joining a company where people are all working towards a single goal: serving the needs of children. I’m very much looking forward to helping to deliver on that mission.”
