Nickelodeon will unbox its new preschool series, Ryan’s Mystery Playdate, on Friday, April 19, at 12:30 p.m. (ET/PT).

The series, starring 7-year-old YouTube superstar Ryan of Ryan ToysReview, was formally announced last month. Created and produced by pocket.watch, the first season of the live-action series includes 20 episodes.

Kids will follow Ryan, his parents, and animated friends such as Gus the Gummy Gator and Combo Panda as they work together to tackle a series of imaginative, physical challenges, and solve mystery box puzzles to reveal the identity of his playdate.

Following the premiere, a new episode of Ryan’s Mystery Playdate will debut Saturday, April 20, at 12:30 p.m. (ET/PT). The series then moves to its regular timeslot, Fridays at 12:30 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon. The series will be supported by digital content on NickJr.com and the Nick Jr. App, in addition to episodes available on demand.

Nickelodeon will drive buzz with the Ryan’s Mystery Playdate Sweepstakes, which will run for three days. Beginning Friday, April 19, through Sunday, April 21, each episode of Ryan’s Mystery Playdate will feature a mystery word that parents can enter on a special website, giving kids a chance to win a playdate with Ryan.

The expansion of the Ryan’s World brand has been swift this year, with more than 40 licensees getting on board. New toys and consumer products from Bonkers Toys, Just Play, Jada Toys, Far Out Toys, and more will hit retail in the months ahead.
