Wisconsin-based PlayMonster is making more moves in the C-suite.

The international toy and game company revealed that Tim Kilpin will transition into the newly created role of Executive Chairman and member of the Board of Directors. Steve Adolph, who joined the company as President last September, has been promoted to CEO, effective immediately.

“Adolph is an inspiring leader,” Kilpin says. “His depth of hands-on experience in consumer [products] and retail makes him the ideal choice to accelerate PlayMonster to the next level and capture the opportunities ahead of us.”

About the move, PlayMonster said in a statement that Adolph has skillfully steered and executed the company’s global business strategy and operations in his brief time with the company. Prior to joining PlayMonster, he held roles as president and CEO at a variety of companies across the consumer and business-to-business sectors, including Rapid Displays and Outperform, SPAR Group, and Kalamazoo Outdoor Gourmet.

“I am grateful to Tim for his support and mentorship over the past few months, and to the entire organization for their confidence in my leadership,” Adolph says. “I look forward to ensuring that PlayMonster continues to amplify its strong global foothold in the toy and game industry.”

In his new role as Executive Chairman, Kilpin will focus on long-term opportunities and partnerships while leading the search for new acquisitions. The latest moves follow a year of staffing changes at PlayMonster, including the hiring of a Chief Parenting Officer and Chief People Officer while expanding its sales team.
