
Brett Robinson knows the way to Sesame Street.
Sesame Workshop tapped the executive to serve as its new chief financial officer and executive vice president of finance, technology, and facilities.
Robinson will advise on financial matters for the nonprofit, as well as guide the IT and Engineering divisions to oversee and improve the systems and technology of the company. In his new position, Robinson will report to Steve Youngwood, Sesame Workshop’s CEO. As an officer on the company’s leadership team, Robinson will also serve the Board of Trustees.
“[Brett] possesses a depth and breadth of experience, having held multiple finance and administrative roles in city government, being the CFO at a large community-focused not-for-profit in the Brooklyn Public Library, and most recently at UNICEF USA, where he was not only the COO and CFO but also interim co-CEO during their transition,” says Steve Youngwood, CEO of Sesame Workshop. “With over 20 years of experience operating at the intersection of strategy, technology, and finance, Brett brings visionary leadership, a sharp focus on data-driven decisions, and a high level of energy with a can-do mindset.”
Sesame Workshop is the nonprofit sector of Sesame Street, which works to integrate philanthropic educational programs in more than 150 companies.
