The team at Spielwarenmesse eG is recognizing the increased focus on sustainability and environmentally friendly production in the toy industry with the addition of a new ToyAward category.

The Sustainability category joins the ToyAward lineup for the 72nd Spielwarenmesse International Toy Fair, set to take place Feb. 2-6, 2022, in Nuremberg, Germany.

Additionally, three new members have joined the international ToyAward jury, including Sue Warfield, president of the American Specialty Toy Retailing Association (ASTRA),  Jean Youn, head of toy business at Kakaokids (Korea), and Dr. Harald Käb, owner of narocon InnovationConsulting (Germany).

For the first time, ToyAward nominees will be unveiled at the Spielwarenmesse PressPreview, taking place Jan. 27, followed by a formal awards ceremony at Nuremberg’s Exhibition Center, NCC Ost, on Feb. 1.
