Day Two of Sensory Play: Please Do Touch The Art | Source: Spin Master

Following a recent gallery installation in New York City dubbed Sensory Play: Please Do Touch The Art, Spin Master‘s Kinetic Sand and artist Dan Lam are teaming up to do some good.

This week, a series of three NFT (non-fungible tokens) collectibles inspired by Lam’s Kinetic Sand art went up for auction via Rarible with proceeds set to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. The NFTs showcase visuals captured during the installation, including a waterfall of Kinetic Sand and a glow-in-the-dark experience.

“I’m interested in dichotomies and the tension that exists and is created between ideas,” Lam says. “This exhibit broke the tension that exists around consuming art. With Kinetic Sand as my medium, guests were invited to touch the art, breaking down that traditional fourth wall. The final product, a collaboration of more than 350 individuals, [is] preserved with the drop of the NFTs so guests who were unable to attend Sensory Play: Please Do Touch The Art can experience the same magic virtually.”

Interested bidders can get involved in the auction — with payment accepted only in the Etherium cryptocurrency — at rarible.com/kineticsand.
