Kellytoy’s Squishmallows Take the Stage for First-Ever Music Video Contest

JazwaresKellytoy subsidiary is calling on fans to create a music video for the Squishmallows.

The Squishmallows Music Video Contest challenges fans in the U.S., Canada, and the UK to craft the perfect video for the Squishmallows’ single, “Hello We’re the Squishmallows,” which debuted exclusively on the Toy Book this spring. One grand prize winner will receive a Squishmallows Mystery Box valued at $1,000 plus ten runners-up will score Mystery Box prizes valued at $250.

“With more than a half-million views and thousands of downloads of our free ringtone in just a few months, the Squishmallows jingle is proving to be as popular as the Squishmallows themselves,” says Kellytoy Co-President Jonathan Kelly. “In fact, fans are already creating their own music videos on TikTok and Instagram, so we thought it would be exciting to make a contest out of it.”

“Hello We’re the Squishmallows” was penned by Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, and composer Luke Tierney. His prior work includes music commissioned by Nickelodeon and Mattel — for Barbie and Hot Wheels — and other youth-oriented brands, such as Carl’s Jr. and Aeropostale. His songs have also received placement on soundtracks including The Mighty Morphin Power RangersSmallvilleThe Simple Life, and Pretty Little Liars.

More than 50 million Squishmallows have sold since the brand was introduced in fall 2017. The full Squishmallows Squad includes more than 500 characters in a multitude of different sizes.
