People of Play (POP) has opened voting for the annual Toy and Game International Excellence (TAGIE) Awards. The TAGIEs are a part of POP Week — a week-long event in which people from the toy industry are recognized for their work, can network with one another, and learn more about the happenings within the industry. This is the 15th year TAGIE Awards will recognize those who have contributed significantly to the toy and game industry including innovators, designers, retailers, suppliers, and marketers.
Those who are a part of the industry can nominate themselves and/or their colleagues for 11 different categories for innovators across the industry. Last year, the TAGIE Committee introduced categories for “Most Innovative Licensed Product” and “Game Changers.” This year, the committee asks voters to consider colleagues for the Lifetime Achievement award.
Nominations for the awards are open from now until Aug. 15 and can be accessed here. The finalists from each category will be announced in the beginning of September and voting for winners will be open to the general public, media and industry in mid-September.
