Nintendo has revealed new details about Splatoon Raiders, the upcoming action shooter launching exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 July 23. Players take on the role of a mechanic exploring the Spirhalite Islands alongside Deep Cut in search of treasure, battling waves of Salmonids with more than 100 weapons, customizable gadgets, and upgradeable tanks. The game features a single-player campaign, optional online and local co-op, three difficulty settings, extensive character customization, and progression systems that reward exploration and repeated play. Fans reserved a ride by scanning QR codes on Candy Crush-branded cabs and posters throughout Manhattan, then played an in-cab tablet for the opportunity to unlock a free trip to select World Cup watch-party locations. The activation ties into Candy Crush’s ongoing Soccer Season tournament, which features in-game Soccer Leagues, leaderboards, exclusive rewards, and a campaign headlined by soccer star Alex Morgan.
